“Royal Navy verses The Army”

Venue:-  Twickenham

Our branch is travelling down to Twickenham with HMS Ceres (Leeds RNR).

The British Army take on the Royal Navy for the Babcock Trophy at Twickenham Stadium.  Can the Royal Navy reclaim the trophy following last year’s Tri Service matches?

“Armed Forces Day 2018”

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. There are many ways for people, communities and organisations across the country to show their support and get involved, from attending an event or joining us online to throwing a party or local event.

This year’s event will be taking place on Briggate, the main pedestrian precinct through the centre of Leeds.

“Trafalgar Night Dinner“

Venue: Horsforth Golf Club, Leeds

The Royal Navy hold an annual dinner to commemorate Admiral Lord Nelson’s victory at the “Battle of Trafalgar”. These take place at all Royal Naval Bases , ships, submarines wherever they are in the world. The Royal Naval Association also commemorates this anniversary.

The event will be attended by Members of the RNA, the ships company of HMS Ceres, other military services and our guests.

Sunday November 18th 2018

“Remembrance Sunday 2018”                         

Venue: St Michael and All Angels’ Church, Headingley

Remembrance Sunday, which falls on 18th November in 2018, is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

Serving members of the armed forces along with former service veterans will march through Leeds City centre and the parade will form opposite the museum which will be followed by the laying of wreaths at the cenotaph on The Headrow.

“Christmas Fuddle”                                             

Venue: New Headingley Club, Leeds

The monthly branch meeting takes place first followed by a buffet for branch members and guests.
